The Pets in other languages!

This lesson was AMAZING! We learned:

1. We had to review again all the vocabulary we learned about the pets. Mas depois podíamos dizer se sabíamos alguns nomes destes animais noutras línguas. Os nossos amigos que têm familiares em Espanha deram algumas sugestões e as nossas amigas que estiveram na Alemanha também.

2. We learned how to say the pets names in two other languages, in Spanish and in German. Organizamos na parede da nossa sala as palavras dos animais em quatro línguas: em Português, Espanhol, Inglês e Alemão.

3. It was very interesting to discover that some languages have many similarities. Afinal não é assim tão difícil aprender outras línguas!!!

4. We had to make a Worksheet. It was very easy and it was funny to draw the pets.

5. We loved to go outside with our English teacher. O jogoi foi muito giro e não foi muito difícil reconhecer os nomes dos animais, pois as palavras são muito parecidas.

The Mr. Mop´s Pet Shop!

In this lesson we learned:

1. Contamos os votos da votação que fizemos na última aula. Foi engraçado pois contamos os votos em inglês.

2. We saw the Mr. Mop's Pet shop and counted how many pets he had inside his shop.

3. De seguida, tivemos que preencher uma ficha de trabalho. Era muito fácil, tinhamos que voltar a contar os animais e escrever os números em inglês. No final tivemos que pintar os animais com as cores que diziam na ficha em inglês. Foi muito giro e também muito fácil!

4. At the end of the lesson we made some puzzles and played a board game that was very interessting. It was very good to remember the adjectives that we already had learned.

My favourite pet

In this lesson we learned:

1. We have to vote on our favourite pets, on our blog.


2. We learned, through mimic, the meaning of some verbs such as FLY, WALK and SWIM. We also learned the question and its answer

- Can the turtle swim? Yes, it can.
- Can the turtle fly? No, it can't.


3. Then, we had to fill in a chart about which pets can/can't fly, walk and swim.

4. At the end, we had to make drawings about our favourite pets and we had to describe it.

Esta actividade foi muito gira, pois tivemos que desenhar o nosso animals de estimaçaõ preferido e de lhe dar um nome e dizer o que conseguia ou não fazer.

Mr Mop's Pet Shop Song

OK, this lesson we learned more about de theme of the pets:

1. We listened to the song "Mr Mop's Pet Shop" and we had to recognize the pet's sounds.

Aprendemos que em Inglês os animais de estimação fazem um som diferente que em Português como, por exemplo:

- snake = hiss
- cat = miaow
- dog = woof
- duck = quack

Esta actividade foi bastante divertida!!

3. We learned the question "What is your favourite pet?" and the answer "My favourite pet is a turtle."

Depois de aprendermos a pergunta e a resposta, tivemos que imaginar que íamos na rua e que alguém nos intervistava a perguntar qual era o nosso animal de estimação preferido.

Foi funny!

The Pets

Let's see what we have learned:

1. We met a real turtle and we gave her the name KUSKA. She will be our mascot during this school year.

2. We learned that the Turtle is a pet and after that we learned some other pets.

Foi engraçado nós descobrirmos que em outros países existem outros tipos de animais de estimação como, por exemplo, que no Japão eles têm como animais de estimação pássaros e grilos; ou na Árabia os cães são considerados muito sujos.

3. We made a vocabulary sheet. We had to subtitle and colour the pets.

4. At the end of the lesson, we played a game. Tivemos que fazer mímica para que a turma descobrisse o animal de estimação que estávamos a imitar. Foi bastante engraçado e divertido!!
